The Universal Baseplate works with all flat bottom video cameras including the Panasonic HVX200 and AF100, DVX100A/B, Canon XL-H1, XL1, XL1s, XL2, GL2, XH-A1 Sony XDCAM EX1, Sony F3, Sony NEX-FS100*and 700, SO-HVR-Z1U, VX1000, VX2000, PD-150, PD-170, JVC GY-HD100U,HD200U, HD250U, Silicon Imaging SI2K, Red cameras and any other camera of this size.
Zacuto Universal Baseplate incorporates 15mm lightweight spaced rods to hold accessories like a follow focus, matte box or a lens support. The rods can be extended to add battery sleds and articulating arms at the back of the plate. The Universal Baseplate mounts to the camera with a 1/4 20″ screw and a locking pin and it attaches to all tripods with both 3/8″ & 1/4 20 screw sizes. The baseplate has 4.5″ of slide capability on the tripod and 4.5″ of slide for the camera as well.. The Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various equipment.
The Universal Baseplate comes standard with a T-slide consisting of a 1/4-20 screw and a locking pin. One has a 1/4-20 screw but lacks the locking pin, and the other allows for the use of cameras requiring a 3/8-16 camera tie-down.
Note: When using DSLR cameras, like the Canon 5D Mark III, you may need a riser to utilize accessories properly.
